So many reasons! We are an organization working to unite the Upper Midwest security-related organizations in a trusted community of interdisciplinary collaboration and education. Working together and adding your organization’s expertise to the mix will help use build a strong security community.

We support our member organizations

We do everything we can to help support our member organizations. We promote member events and meetings on our website and social media. UMSA helps members grow and meet their security goals and objectives. We encourage you to let us know what we can do to help your organization.

Members get a seat on our board

Each member organization is guaranteed a seat on our board so your voices will be heard. Sitting on the UMSA board gives your organization insights into what’s happening in the security community and allows you to help shape its future. Plus, when you’re on our board, you get to help plan and put on the Secure360 Conference!

SecMN, although recently rebranded, is a longtime member of UMSA. Patrick Tatro of SecMn and the new UMSA board president shared why they joined UMSA, “SecMN joined UMSA as it was an opportunity to be involved with the greater information security community. We’ve been able to help with Secure360 and participate in shaping the direction of UMSA. In return, UMSA has provided us with greater visibility through the website, social media, and a booth at Secure360. This has helped us increase our membership while bringing more value to our members.”

We are proud to have many excellent security organizations in the Upper Midwest as members already, but as the security industry is constantly changing, and the more voices we can bring into our community, the stronger your security community becomes.
