UMSA Introduces New Managing Director: Marie Strawser
UMSA would like to take a moment to announce and congratulate Marie Strawser, UMSA founder, as she begins her new leadership role as the Managing Director of UMSA this month.
Marie has more than 15 years of experience in developing and sustaining agile, comprehensive, flexible, scalable enterprise-wide continuity programs in business continuity. Over the years, Marie’s focus has been on developing and implementing business continuity lifecycles that enhance organizations’ capabilities to provide critical services at any time, regardless of the event and impact.
In her new role as UMSA’s managing director, Marie will be working toward expanding on UMSA’s mission and vision, collaborating with affiliates and other security organizations in the Midwest and overseeing UMSA’s educational events including its WebTracks webinar series and additional Secure360 events.
Marie has a B.A. in mathematics from Saint Mary’s University, an M.S. in software engineering from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is on the BCPA Board of Directors, serves as the Secure360 expansion committee chair and is an UMSA founding member. Welcome, Marie!

Just a quick note to say: Marie has been committed to the evolution and development of UMSA in the community and its annual Secure360 Conference since its inception from roles in almost every domain and Chair; and she is an exceptional choice for this new and exciting position which, with her focus, will bring more attention and interaction with our community at-large in the alliances of which UMSA has evolved.
