MN ISSA Chapter Meeting feat. The Information Security Maturity Journey
June 25 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
According to Avril Haines, Director of National Intelligence, Ransomware attacks increased by 74% in 2023. Attackers used default or weak passwords, unpatched vulnerabilities and poorly secured network connections ‘to launch relatively simple attacks.’
It is with this backdrop in mind that we announce our Q2 and Q3 2024 Chapter Meetings, shifting our focus from the lofty ambitions around GenAI, and returning back to the fundamentals of the latest Information Security hardening best-practices, using the most current NIST Cyber Security Framework v.2 as a general guideline for our discussions.
