API velocity is expanding so rapidly that it has overtaken the network as the ‘connective tissue’ of the Internet – 84% of global Internet traffic consists of API calls. However\, APIs face significant security threats.  In addition to common threats related to web applications\, APIs also have their own variety of potential vulnerabilities.
